To be, or not to be

Turn off the Tv, put on you running pants and tighten your shoelaces; plug your headphones in your ears, press play and disconnect from the world. Start running.

It has been a long year in Canada. Although at the beginning I kept my regular trainings - cross country races, intervals and long distance runs - winter came and I changed my lifestyle drastically;  I am not a runner anymore. The cold and the snow didn´t let me go for a run in a long time so I started doing crossfit and I lost the habit of going out for a run and all that stuff. I gained some weight - too much weight - so that when I first got to Canada I was 134lb and I went back home weighting 154lb, bringing an extra +20lb of "pure muscle" with me.

It is time to change again. I am moving to the capital city in two weeks and I have been on the couch for too long; I have to get on my old habits again... But it is summer, and it is too hot outside, and I just wanna party... Then I realize I actually have to do it and think "shut the front door and move your ass from the couch you lazy ass"

This last week I started running daily again, either on the beach or in the city. I had a bad time during the first stage of the o5Days since I ran out of gas in the middle of the race and since my knees hurt very bad during downhills - these extra 20 pounds are the guilty. I don´t want to feel like that during a race.

I want to consider myself a runner again. Let´s make it happen.
